I was sent as a chef representative for Our Table: American Bistro to attend an event at Ivy Tech celebrating the top 25 best restaurants in Indiana. We made and plated over 100 housemade apple pies with Woodford reserve caramel sauce and vanilla bean ice cream with a brown butter toffee base. It was an incredible networking experience for me, as well as an ability to tour the college I want to attend. Being the chef representative I was able to completely control the plating of the dish and oversee every single one that was sent out.
Guests gathered in Ivy Tech’s historic restaurant, Courses, on the 12th floor for panoramic city views and a multi-course dinner (with drink pairings) prepared by the chef teams from some of the city’s most acclaimed dining establishments.
